My name is Rose, my family and friends call me Rosie. Either is perfect! 🙂
I’m a family portrait and wedding photographer based out of Rosburg, Washington. I travel to surrounding locations within Wahkiakum and Pacific counties here in Washington and also to parts of Clatsop county in Oregon. I have a print service that I am partnered with to deliver heirloom quality prints, canvases, albums, and many other types of display options as add-ons to my sessions. I put tons of effort into planning my sessions, I pay attention to all the details, and I pour my heart into every single image I create.
If you book a session with me I may or may not jump up and down with excitement when the light falls just right and I get those perfect shots for you… But you would too, right? Please don’t feel the need to hold back laughter when I look ridiculous during your session, sometimes you gotta get into strange positions to get juuuuuust the perfect angle… and I love a good authentic smile anyways!
My favorite photos are ones that capture emotional connection, and the ones that show not only a person’s eyes but let you see a little bit of their soul. I would describe my photography style as being crisp, clean, and colorful. I like to show the big picture and also the tiny details, and I deliver a mix of both, with everything in between, in each client gallery. I use a mix of prompts and direction during my sessions to gather photos with authentic interactions as well as some posed “everyone looking at the camera” shots. I am an all-inclusive photographer, which means I give you ALL of the “good ones” from a session and don’t put a limit on the number of final photos in a gallery.
A little bit about me… I am married to my very best friend, I’m a mama to four wonderful kiddos, and I’m kind of addicted to photography. Ok, maybe more than just kinda. I am both shy and outgoing at the same time. I love being happy. I love exploring. I love a good sunset. I love that bubbly belly laugh that little kids make when something is really really funny. I love trees, and pretty flowers, and the underside of bridges, and all the little spots where nature and man-made structures meet. I love the ocean and the sound of the waves. I love the smell of fresh rainfall on the pavement, the first fire of the year burning in the woodstove, and chocolate chip cookies baking in the oven.
I believe that everything happens for a reason. I believe you should always follow your heart, even when it leads you off the beaten path. I believe that everyone has good days and bad days, and that the way a person handles the bad days will tell you everything you need to know about them. And I believe that the best way to connect the past to the future is by collecting photographs.
Also, I tend to use a lot of exclamation marks when I write a text or an email. If that offends you, then you might not enjoy talking to me. I’m not yelling, I’m just enthusiastic! Just sayin’.
